Last August was a milestone month for the staff and students at Pebbles & Piaget. After three years of suspending a proper graduation ceremony due to COVID-related safety concerns, we were finally able to return to the beautiful Westfield Golf Club to enjoy a delicious brunch and commemorate the accomplishments of our graduating Junior Kindergarten 2 students in a memorable and fitting send-off.
Students, parents, and instructors from our Vancouver and Langley preschools attended the event. As pioneers in early education, we take great pride in our dynamic, hands-on programs that scaffold childhood development. We designed our age-appropriate programs to foster academic momentum, creative ambition, and social competence. Resuming the tradition was a highlight for the whole team because celebrating the success of our Junior Kindergarten 2 graduates provides the forward momentum to help students successfully transition into elementary school.
As our students donned the cap and gown, we saw the same pride and appreciation we experience as adults when our work is recognized and praised. As a cohesive milestone, this milestone celebrates the whole group. Apart from building up confidence, these celebrations, surrounded by caring family members and instructors, give our young graduates the encouragement and inspiration to continue working hard towards their academic goals.
For parents and families, the graduation ceremony is an opportunity to see their young members in a whole new light. It’s a core memory that children and families can share and remember as they mature. For many, it will be a tangible milestone—the first of many accomplishments for students entering the school system.
It gave our teachers so much joy to resume graduation ceremonies. It’s a celebration that closes an important chapter in the lives of our students. Graduates also took to the stage for one last performance. It was a final, heartfelt farewell that allowed them to feel recognized and celebrated, setting the tone for future academic and social success.
We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make our ceremony inspirational and memorable.
