Pebbles & Piaget’s Junior Kindergarten program in Vancouver is designed to inspire cognitive, creative, and social advances while respecting the young age of participants. In this literacy-rich classroom, teachers place increased emphasis on independent and group learning opportunities. The purpose of junior kindergarten is to encourage problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Periods of purposeful play across a multitude of curricular areas aim to build understanding and spark further inquiry. The growing need for defined boundaries and respectful consistency is met through teacher-led instruction. We create the scaffolding of student development through a diverse thematic schedule that allows each student to reach their potential.
