Junior Kindergarten 1

A stepping stone towards confidence, creativity, and early learning.

Junior Kindergarten 1

A curriculum for lifelong learning.

Our Junior Kindergarten 1 Program nurtures children’s curiosity and growing independence through experimentation, exploration, and inquiry. Educators support children in building relationships, expressing ideas, and engaging deeply with the world around them.

Program objectives.

Strong foundations for lifelong learning.

At Pebbles & Piaget, academic foundations are built through meaningful, hands-on experiences rather than formal instruction. Through experimentation, exploration, and everyday routines, children develop the early skills that support lifelong learning; language and communication, problem-solving, self-regulation, and social connection. Educators intentionally create environments rich with opportunities to question, experiment, and represent ideas. In this way, children build strong foundations for literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and creativity while remaining engaged, curious, and confident learners.

Sample schedule.

“Designing schedules that minimize transitions and create long periods of uninterrupted time allows children to develop their ideas and pursue their inquiries.”
