At Pebbles & Piaget Early Learning, we believe in planting the seed for helping others early. As Early Childhood Educators, we see students are capable of empathy beyond our understanding, and so inviting them to embark on a collective project in the spirit of giving has always been an essential and inspiring part of our vision to help each student discover their individual potential.
Season of Sharing – Langley Preschool
This year, our Langley preschool location will partner with the Sources Langley Food Bank for our Season of Sharing Campaign and collect non-perishable food items to support the cause. Food Bank boxes will be placed outside sign-in areas each morning so students and parents can donate together. We will begin collecting donations on November 15th and have the boxes available until December 15th.
Season of Sharing – Kingsway Preschool
At our Kingsway location, we will partner with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and will also be collecting non-perishable food items to support the cause. Once again, Food Bank boxes will be located by each of the sign-in areas and available until
December 15th.
Ideas for Donation
For those wondering about which items make the biggest difference to families in need, the Surrey Food Bank recently published a list of the most needed items:
- Canned protein (Fish & meat)
- Canned fruit
- Canned vegetables
- Meals in a Tin (Chili, soups, stews)
- Whole grain rice
- Pasta and pasta sauce
- Healthy canned soups
- Baby formula
